Learn to Surf in Australia

On this program you’ll learn to surf in the sea, along some of Australia’s best white sandy beaches, on the New South Wales coast. You’ll live and breath surfing in this classic surf territory. Hang out with and learn from other experienced surfers, and very soon you’ll be riding the dream wave.

If you’re on a full Australian Gap Year or in Australia for a few months during a global trip, learning how to surf is essential.

We’ve located the most beautiful, un-populated beaches for you to quickly progress from beginner to experienced surfer. Our highly experienced instructors will show you the basic techniques and at the end of the school you’d have learn how to:

Standing up
Paddling
Wave selection
Ocean knowledge
Turning
Taking the drop
Cutting across waves

This surfing trip will immerse you in the surfer lifestyle. You’ll be part of a series of fun parties and jamming sessions. You’ll also see Oz wildlife on this trip such as big lizards, wallabies and kangaroos. You’ll even find Dolphins joining you as you surf on Australia‘s beautiful seas.

Programme Location:

Northern coastal regions of New South Wales.

Accommodation and Meals:

Beginning with three nights in cabin lodges, at a dedicated Surf Campsite. You’ll stay in a beautiful setting in an area world famous for top surfing conditions.
You’ll travel along the coast to other cabin camps, located by stunning un-populated beaches. You even sleep one night on a beach in the Yuraygir National Park area. You’ll be guaranteed accommodation (paid for when you’ve got there). And you’ll have time to practice newly acquired surf skills, as well as indulging in parties with newly made friends.

All meals are provided on this program, including the Great Oz BBQ, buffets, pastas and salads with a veggie option if required.

Programme Summary:
You’ll have progressed from beginner to experienced surfer by the end of these five days. You’ll tour the stunning coastlines of New South Wales, and enjoy loads of beach parties getting to know new friends from all over the world.
